Florida Express Jet Launching Low-Cost, Intra-State Service

Will Fly Between Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, And Tallahassee

Florida Express Jet Travel Inc., doing business as Florida Express Jet, plans to launch low-cost air service between Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Tallahassee next month.

The new service will start on March 20 on Boeing 737-400 jets. All coach seats on all nonstop flights will be priced at $69. This will include eight daily flights in the Fort Lauderdale-Orlando and Orlando-Tallahassee markets.

Flights will depart Fort Lauderdale at 7 a.m. nonstop to Orlando, arriving at 7:50 a.m. and continue to Tallahassee, arriving at 9:20 a.m. The morning return flight will depart Tallahassee at 10 a.m. nonstop to Orlando, arriving at 10:50 a.m. and continuing to Fort Lauderdale.

The pattern will repeat in the afternoon with a Fort Lauderdale-Orlando departure at 2 p.m. that arrives in Orlando at 2:50 p.m. and a departure at 3:30 p.m. to Tallahassee. The late afternoon return flight leaves Tallahassee at 5:10 p.m. nonstop to Orlando and continues on to Fort Lauderdale. The last flight leaves Orlando at 6:35 p.m. and arrives in Fort Lauderdale at 7:25 p.m.

The Florida Express Jet aircraft will have 12 business class and 138 coach seats.
