CAE Introduces Next-Generation Simfinity Integrated Procedures Trainer

Airbus A320 Device On Display At World Airline Training Conference

CAE announced on the eve of the World Airline Training Conference and Tradeshow (WATS 2012) that it has developed a next-generation CAE Simfinity(TM) integrated procedures trainer (IPT) with an enhanced virtual cockpit which offers higher-resolution graphics, multi-touch screens, and a new aircraft-like interface action for sliding levers or turning knobs. The CAE Simfinity IPT also offers optional primary and secondary controls, sound and visual simulation for a more immersive experience.

CAE will demonstrate the next-gen IPT in an Airbus A320 configuration in its booth at WATS. The new IPT is also available for A330, A350, Boeing 737 and other aircraft platforms upon request.

CAE provides modeling, simulation and training for civil aviation and defense, offering civil aviation, military and helicopter training in 40 locations worldwide. The company trains more than 80,000 crewmembers yearly. CAE's business is diversified, ranging from the sale of simulation products to providing comprehensive services such as training and aviation services, professional services and in-service support.
