Upgraded: David Whittington

SimAuthor has hired former Boeing simulation expert David Whittington to support technical field efforts in the commercial and military markets.

"The specific industry experience and focus on flight safety and optimization tools that David possesses are invaluable to SimAuthor," said Stephen Lakowske, Chief Executive Officer of SimAuthor. "We intend to fully leverage David's simulation and visualization knowledge to tailor SimAuthor's FlightViz™ and FlightAnalyst™ solutions to end-user needs."

Experience Counts

Whittington has over 20 years experience with commercial aircraft flight simulators, and 10 years of military flight simulator experience with the United States Navy. Whittington worked at Boeing for 20 years, spearheading the development efforts of a visualization and low cost image generator team. He also led research investigations into Synthetic Vision, Pathway-in-the-Sky, and enhanced ground proximity systems, earning him Associate Technical Fellow status in 1998. Prior to Boeing, Whittington held a variety of engineering positions at Data General Corporation, Culler-Harrison and the United States Pacific Missile Test Center.
