New Avionics And App Data Bundle Options Announced By Jeppesen

Will Enhance Flying Experience For GA Pilots, Company Says

Jeppesen recently announced a series of three new data bundle services that combine access across both general aviation avionics, including Garmin and Avidyne, and popular mobile apps. The new data bundles will be offered to general aviation pilots at a reduced cost, with key coverage areas included and the choice of two or four device installations, to meet individual pilot needs.

“Our new data bundle options for general aviation pilots will provide the coverages they need on the number of devices they use, at a price that is more affordable,” said Reggie Arsenault, director, Jeppesen General Aviation Client Management. “Databases for avionics can be complex, especially with multiple avionics systems in one aircraft. Our customer service team will simplify options per pilot needs and price points and will guide how to best manage data subscriptions - available across all of their avionics systems, Mobile FliteDeck and Garmin Pilot apps and JeppView for PCs.”

The three new data bundles from Jeppesen include unique full Americas (North, Central & South America) coverages that eliminate the need for trip kits. Specifically, new avionics and coverage bundle options include:

  • Garmin GTN or GNS/W navigator avionics & Garmin Pilot: Coverage areas include USA, Canada/Alaska and full Americas with a single installation chart subscription, providing avionics and mobile app access. Pricing for this bundle ranges from $440 to $745 based on avionics configuration and geographical coverage. This bundle is available now.
  • PilotPak for Garmin GTN (G500/600, G300, G3X), Garmin 1000 & Garmin 2000: Offers a two device installation option, instead of the traditional four, to provide significant cost savings. Coverage options include USA, Canada/Alaska and full Americas. An example of cost savings for this subscription include full USA coverage for two device installations for $990 annually, compared to $1466 for four device installations. This bundle is available now.
  • FLEX Bundle: A new bundle service comprised of qualified combination of avionics from different manufacturers that configured in a single aircraft. Full Americas coverage is available for this option, priced at $1445. This bundle is scheduled to be available on Jan. 1, 2017.
