Pilatus Sees Demand Continuing For Its PC-12

More Models On The Way?

After coming off a record year for PC-12 production and sales in 2005, senior executives at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd remain bullish about sales prospects for the single engine turboprop over the next 24 months.

They have a reason for optimism, as for the past three years in a row the Pilatus PC-12 has been the top selling single model of turbine-powered business aircraft, as reported by the General Aviation Manufacturer’s Association (GAMA). Now in its 13th year of production, the PC-12 is being produced at the highest rate to date -- 90 PC-12s will be delivered worldwide in 2006.

While strong economies throughout the world have benefited nearly all business aircraft manufacturers, the PC-12 continues to steadily increase its market share since being introduced in 1994.

"The outlook over the next 24 months is extremely positive", said Fred Muggli, Head of PC-12 Sales and Marketing for Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. "More than two-thirds of the 2006 production has already been retailed by our distributors and at the same time they overwhelm us with aircraft requests for 2007."

Pilatus Aircraft President & CEO Oscar J. Schwenkof added emphasis to Muggli’s comments.

"Making sure our customers are delighted with their purchase of the PC-12 is the critical component of our success in the business aviation market," said Schwenkof. "We find that our customers are often our best sales people, and they are doing a tremendous job touting the benefits of the PC-12."

When asked what future products the company may offer, Schwenkof glibbly commented, "All I can reveal at this point is that we are exploring some very innovative ways to extend Pilatus’ general aviation product line."
