Lee Obst Elected To AIA of Canada’s Board Of Directors

Former Fighter And Experimental Test Pilot Brings 14 Years Management Experience To The Position

Rockwell Collins Canada Managing Director Johnathon “Lee” Obst has been elected to serve on the Aerospace Industries Association Canada (AIAC) Board of Directors.

“I’m proud to represent Rockwell Collins on the board and look forward to working with members who are committed to creating jobs and technologies in Canada for the aerospace industry both domestically and worldwide,” said Obst.

Obst, who has served in his current role since 2011, is a former fighter and experimental test pilot for the Canadian Forces, with more than 14 years of management experience in the defense and aerospace industry. As managing director, Obst oversees the operations and production facilities of Rockwell Collins in Ottawa and Montreal. The Rockwell Collins office in Montreal serves as a systems engineering, customer support and sales office to support Bombardier Aerospace and the Canadian commercial aviation market. The facility plays a central role in maintaining a strong relationship with Bombardier, one of the world's largest commercial and business aircraft manufacturers.

The Ottawa facility focuses on engineering and production of high tech military communications and networking systems.

AIAC is the national association representing Canada’s aerospace manufacturing and services sector.
