Sign The Digital Logbook To Have Your Name Included
At the core of EAA’s AirVenture is the love of building and restoring aircraft. EAA and partners undertook the One Week Wonder project to transform a standard Zenith CH750 Cruzer kit into a flyable aircraft in just seven days during AirVenture 2014.
More than 2,500 people shared the building experience through the One Week Wonder project. No aircraft is complete without a stunning paint scheme, so the One Week Wonder project included multiple custom paint schemes which participants voted on to select the final, winning scheme. At this year’s AirVenture, Scheme Designers and EAA will work together to gather signatures from all the One Week Wonder builders and will incorporate those signatures into the actual vinyl stripes of the aircraft.
Throughout the week, builders who participated in the building of the One Week Wonder can go to the Homebuilders Hangar to sign the “digital logbook”. On Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 a.m., a new vinyl stripe will be produced incorporating the collected signatures, and the stripe with the signatures will be installed on the aircraft.
“The One Week Wonder proves that building an aircraft is within the reach of all aircraft enthusiasts. With Scheme Designers’ help, adding the signatures of the One Week Wonder team is a fun and creative way to visually represent all of the individuals that helped make the project a real, flying success,” said Charlie Becker, EAA’s Director of Chapters, Communities & Homebuilt Community Manager.
Scheme Designers President and Chief Artist Craig Barnett will also hold workshops to train attendees to successfully install vinyl stripes on Wednesday, July 27 at 5:30pm and Sunday, July 31 at 9:30am in the Homebuilders Hangar.
Anyone who was involved in the One Week Wonder project is encouraged to visit the Homebuilders Hangar and sign the “digital logbook”. More information is available at the Scheme Designers booth #3056 in Hangar C.
