Meet You On The Taxiway

Denver Bound Flights Tangle

Passengers attempting to head to the mountains from Indianapolis Monday suffered an unexpected delay, after two Denver bound flights suffered minor damage in a taxiway tangle. There were no injuries.

United Express Flight 7517, an Embraer E-170 regional jet, with 70 passengers apparently suffered minor damage to the tail when the right wing of Frontier Airlines Flight 619 'scuffed the rear' of the aircraft. The Frontier A-319 had 122 passengers on board.

Airport spokesman Dennis Rosebrough told the Indianapolis Star that the incident caused no significant delays to other flights.

Both aircraft were taken out of service for inspection and repairs, and the passengers were placed on other flights or rebooked. Frontier spokesman Joe Hodas said the airbus appeared to have suffered 'almost no damage,' and that mechanics will inspect and repair the aircraft.
