AD: PILATUS Aircraft Ltd. Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2013-22-13

PRODUCT: Certain PILATUS Aircraft Ltd. Model PC-7 airplanes.
SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2013-22-13
ACTION: Final Rule, Request for Comments.

SUMMARY: This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product.

The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as chafing on the wiring harness attached to the engine mounting frame on the right-hand side of the engine compartment, which could cause a short circuit and could result in a fire in the engine compartment.

The FAA is issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products.

DATES: This AD is effective November 29, 2013. Comments on this AD must be received by December 23, 2013.
