Marium Mukhtiar Was One Of Only A Few Women Flying As A Fighter Pilot In Pakistan

One of only a handful of female fighter pilots flying for Pakistan was fatally injured in a training accident when her plane experienced an "in-flight emergency" earlier this week. Marium Mukhtiar and her co-pilot ejected from the stricken airplane, but the BBC reports that she later died from her injuries sustained during the ejection in a hospital.

EU Supports Air Traffic Management Project

Will Be Overseen By The SESAR Deployment Manager

The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) has given a green light to a key project to improve the management of the European airspace. The project, which is supported under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) with a grant worth €318.5 million (approx $348 million), and which will be managed by the SESAR Deployment Manager, will modernize and harmonize Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems and procedures across 24 EU Member States.
