Deutsche Aircraft Unveils First D328eco Test Aircraft

Aircraft At Airtech Campus Testing 100% SAF

Deutsche Aircraft announced the rollout of its first D328eco test aircraft (TAC 1) at its headquarters in the Airtech Campus in Oberpffafenhofen, after maintaining steady progress toward a more efficient future for regional airline operations.

The Detusche Aircraft D328eco extends the proven legacy and utility of the Dornier 328 through the integration of fully 100% SAF-compatible turboprop engines. These deliver improved speed, altitude, and fuel efficiency as well as reliability and versatility.

Nico Neumann, Co-CEO of Deutsche Aircraft said, "The roll out of our first test aircraft marks a significant achievement in the D328eco program and an important step towards our physical flight test activities.”

He added, “This milestone represents our transition from conceptual design to practical testing and industrialization. At Deutsche Aircraft, we are proud to introduce an aircraft with the proven DNA of the Dornier 328, enhanced for better efficiency, reduced emissions and a superior customer experience, making it an optimal choice for regional operators worldwide."

The 40-seat regional aircraft has been further modified to incorporate modernized aerodynamics as well as next-generation avionics that are forward-compatible. Its robust structure is capable of handling challenging runways in remote locations and extreme weather conditions.

Olaf Lawrenz, COO of Deutsche Aircraft said, "This milestone is a testament to our team's dedication and technical expertise. Building upon the robust foundation of the Dornier 328, an aircraft ahead of its time, we have integrated modern technologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

“The roll out reflects our commitment to delivering a next-generation regional aircraft that combines proven reliability with cutting-edge advancements to meet the evolving demands of regional aviation."
