Supersonic Monday! Livestream XB-1’s Second Mach1 Flight

CEO Blake Scholl, Chief Engineer Nick Sheryka Will Host

Sunday, February 9, 2025 will be Super Bowl Sunday for American football fans, but Boom Supersonic wants you to know that Supersonic Monday is the following day, when the XB-1 demonstrator aircraft is set for its second supersonic flight that will be livestreamed and hosted by Boom founder and CEO Blake Scholl and Chief Flight Test Engineer Nick Sheryka.

WHEN: Monday, February 10, 2025, at 10:30 am PST / 1:30 pm EST but please note that the time may change for safety or weather considerations.

WHERE TO WATCH: The flight will be livestreamed on the Boom Supersonic website (link below).

WHO: Blake Scholl and Nick Sheryka will host the livestream to share details about the flight as well as insights about Boom’s flight test program and its plans for the future.

In case you missed it, XB-1’s historic first supersonic flight was conducted on January 28, 2025, and was the first supersonic flight by an aircraft developed by an independent private company.

The supersonic portions of that flight took place in the Bell X-1 Supersonic Corridor at the Mojave Air & Space Port in California. Boom Chief Test Pilot Tristan “Geppetto” Brandenburg was at the controls and performed not one, not two, but three supersonic runs, reaching a top speed of Mach 1.122 (652 KTAS or 750 mph) and an altitude of 35, 290 feet.
