Kimberling Joins NASAO As Government Relations Manager

Tasked With Improving Organization's Advocacy Efforts

The National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) has added Mark Kimberling to the NASAO team as their new Manager of Government Relations. The top goal in NASAO's new strategic plan is to improve the reach and effectiveness of NASAO's advocacy efforts and Mark's addition to the team is a key component in that strategy.

Mark is a pilot, having been a flight instructor, and worked as a First Officer for American Eagle. Mark has worked on Capitol Hill, and spent more than five years with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), as National Director of State Government Affairs, during which he won AOPA's President's Award. Mark has been an effective advocate for aviation in Washington and throughout the country.

"If we were designing the right person for this job from scratch, the result would look very much like Mark," said NASAO President Greg Principato. "I am very much looking forward to working with Mark to continue our effort to raise NASAO's profile on Capitol Hill, provide high quality and actionable information for our members, and to engage our state members, and Friends of NASAO in our advocacy work."
