At the Air Force Warfare Center at Nevada's Nellis Air Force
Base, lessons learned supporting ground troops in Afghanistan and
Iraq are being shared with the aviation community and incorporated
into the training as quickly as they're developed.
The U.S. Navy has awarded AgustaWestland North America (AWNA) a
$17.35 million contract to provide depot level maintenance on three
Egyptian Mk-2 variant H-3 helicopters. The contract calls for
complete refurbishment of the aircraft structure and all aircraft
components.

In September of 1995, Raytheon Aircraft announced their first business jet, the Premier 1, featuring the latest in composite technology and swept aluminum wing design for greater speed. Finally, in March of 2001, after completing over 700 flight hours, the Premier received its official certification, including a single pilot approval, by the FAA. The Premier 1 marked the first clean-sheet business jet certified by Raytheon Aircraft, and the first new airplane certified by Raytheon in more than a decade.

CAE said Tuesday that it has sold two CAE 7000 Series ARJ21-700
Level D full-flight simulators (FFS) to COMAC Shanghai Aircraft
Customer Service Co. Ltd., owned by Commercial Aircraft Corporation
of China Ltd. (COMAC). The contract brings the total FFS sales that
CAE has announced during FY 2010 to 12.
Using technology developed for the nation's ballistic missile
defense system, Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne successfully
completed hot-fire thruster tests demonstrating the ability of
miniaturized thrusters to perform the descent and landing operation
for a new generation of multi-use robotic lunar landers.
World's Largest Exhibition Of Modeling, Simulation And Virtual
Reality Starts 11/30

I/ITSEC Convention appears in Orlando, FL, toward the end of each

scheduled to open in Orlando on November 30.
Artists Wartime Tribute Features A Dozen Decaying Ansons
A massive art installation in a farmer's field near Nanton,
Alberta, is capturing attention as a unique kind of crop circle,
one created by University of Alberta visual arts professor and
artist Keith Harder which pays tribute to a piece of Canada's
wartime past.
Ramp
The apron or open "tarmac" in form of an FBO or terminal
facility. This space is busy, used for deplanement, parking of
aircraft, etc. Some facilities will permit automobiles to drive to
the aircraft on the ramp, a feature of real benefit to the traveler
with heavy or bulky luggage.
