Corporate Flight Management Launches Blog

Hopes To Foster Interaction With Partners And Customers

Smyrna, Tennessee-based Corporate Flight Management announced the launch of "planeconversations.com," the firm's new social media blog site.

"We have a great website," said CFM CEO Allen Howell, "however websites are digital brochures.  It is an excellent medium for presenting our marketing message.  However, websites alone cannot facilitate our need to build relationship with potential customers and partners," Howell said.

In many ways, the move into social media parallels the firm's expansion into a larger maintenance facility in 2008.  More floor space afforded CFM with opportunities to increase productivity by consolidating mechanics, managers and parts department into a larger, more efficient workspace.

Similarly, planeconversations.com will provide greater virtual floor space which will lead to greater productivity in the areas of marketing and corporate communications.

Demand for corporate and private aviation services has slowed considerably over the past year.  However, the interest in finding air travel alternatives is growing.

"Up to this point we have considered ourselves to be providers of priority transportation services and support," said Howell. "With the launch of planeconversations.com we are becoming a media firm that provides information as well as priority transportation services and support," he concluded.
