Air And Marine Operations And Partners Disrupt Cocaine Smugglers

2.8 Tons Of Cocaine Nabbed In The Eastern Caribbean Sea

U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Air and Marine Operations worked with partners in the Eastern Caribbean to disrupt smuggling of 2.8 tons of cocaine, denying transnational criminal organizations approximately $73,892,000 USD (give or take a few bucks...) on April 9, 2024. “Partnerships are key to stopping drugs from reaching our borders,” stated Creighton A. Skeen, Director of Air and Marine Operations, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch. “We will continue to leverage unique capabilities to stop illicit smuggling on the seas.”

Oshkosh Defense FMTV A2 Cargo 6x6 LVAD Undergoes U.S. Army Test

The U.S. Army Operational Test Command's Airborne and Special Operations Test Directorate (ABNSOTD) recently conducted the final airdrop test of the Oshkosh® Defense FMTV A2 Cargo 6x6 Low-Velocity Airdrop (LVAD). The airdrops, which took place at Fort Liberty in North Carolina, mark a key milestone for the FMTV A2 LVAD program. The tests validated the design and capabilities of the Cargo 6x6 LVAD to ensure its suitability for the stringent demands of airdrop and follow-on operations.
