become much harder if the UK, or any other EU member state, commits
subsidies to the A350."

Trade Representative in Washington. She was quoted by Bloomberg
News as the UK seemed likely to approve a $680 million loan to
Airbus to develop the A350. The issue of aircraft subsidies for
both Airbus and Boeing is the subject of a huge WTO lawsuit that
could take decades to decide.
