Brazilian planemaker Embraer announced this week the creation of
the Environmental Strategies and Technologies Office, for the
purpose of integrating and expanding the company’s
environmental policies and achieving new levels of sustainable
development.
Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) told ANN Friday the
planemaker will explore the possible divestiture of its domestic US
fuel and line operations. HBC will retain its Hawker Beechcraft
Services maintenance and customer support facilities located at
these locations.
Worldwide jet charter provider Executive Jet Management (EJM)
announced the appointment of Brent Smith this week as Chief
Financial Officer. Smith previously served as senior vice
president, financial planning and analysis and has been with
NetJets for the past nine years.
Sikorsky Aircraft announced Friday CHC Helicopter Corp. has
signed a contract for 12 S-92 helicopters. The new helicopters will
be used primarily to fulfill offshore transportation requirements
in all corners of the world, but may also be used in the commercial
Search and Rescue (SAR) role.
