The Vintage area at Oshkosh is a wonderland of aviation history,
and every plane has a story. Among them, you'll find a rare
Noorduyn Norseman. This particular bird is no exception.
It's happened to all of us, and it doesn't take much: a fouled
plug, spongy brake, or a corroded electrical connection. It's
enough to spoil a day of flying around the home field, but what
happens when you're at AirVenture?
A panel of experts from various corners of General Aviation

Airport Security Expert Calls Findings A "Frightening
Situation"
While the cat's away, the mice play at Phoenix Sky Harbor
Airport. That's according to an investigation by ABC affiliate
KNXV-TV Channel 15 in Phoenix, which recently wrapped up an
undercover investigation at PHX that focused on the four-and-a-half
hour time frame at night when airport security is turned over to a
private company.

A Blast From The Past... Not Far From The Latest And
Greatest
As the latest Very Light Jets and Light Sport Aircraft shared
the limelight on the opening day of AirVenture 2007, a tent on the
edge of the antique/classic aircraft parking area served as a time
machine for those who may yearn for a simpler time.
They come in as a trickle on Monday, build to 600 a day, and

wrapping and mailing anything from landing gear to propellers to
outlet purchases that can't fit into the plane.

What the men on Guadalcanal went through is hard to imagine for
those who were not there. Thousands of miles from home, the
Americans on Guadalcanal were under near constant attack from the
land, sea, and air, with few supplies or support from the
outside.

this as a small sport sedan, such as a BMW 3-Series."
"As with a 5-Series BMW, owners of aircraft like this
expect a certain level of luxury. [The DA50] is a great plane for
anybody who wants more space, luxury, and
performance."
