Boeing has delivered the first of four C-17 Globemaster IIIs to
the Canadian Forces during a ceremony, this week, at the
company's Long Beach, Calif., C-17 manufacturing facility.
A Gulfstream G150 bizjet has established three new city-pair
speed records, connecting Los Angeles to Maui, Hawaii; Maui to Las
Vegas; and Las Vegas to Savannah.
An August 1st accident that downed a Lancair IV appears to have
been caused by an improperly secured oil line. The accident
resulted in serious injuries to the pilot, the sole person
onboard.

delays in June were worse than either May or June of last year. The
airlines jumped on the news to again claim that it is an outdated
air traffic control system and an “unfair” funding
system that's responsible.
Knots 2U, Ltd. of Burlington Wisconsin has announced STC
approval for a unique LED lighting system which operates from a
standard 9 volt battery. The system is designed to replace one or
more inspection panels on the bottom of each wing with a new
inspection panel and a battery operated LED light. This LED
will provide lighting around the aircraft for loading passengers or
assisting in pre-flight inspections during night time
operations.
ACROHELIPRO Teams With Carson Helicopters To Develop S-61 Glass
Cockpit
ACROHELIPRO Global Services Inc. is teaming with Carson
Helicopters (Carson) to outfit the first two of Carson’s
fleet of Sikorsky S-61’s with SAGEM Avionic’s (SAGEM)
Integrated Cockpit Display System (ICDS) retrofit. In addition,
Carson has selected to work with ACROHELIPRO on an S-61 airframe
rewire program for 10 helicopters, with the work taking place over
the next two and a half years.
Boeing and IAMAW Local Lodge 1163 have reached a new three-year
collective bargaining agreement that affects 92 employees of the
Checkout, Assembly and Payload Processing Services (CAPPS) program
at Kennedy Space Center, Fla.
Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. T. Michael Moseley met Aug. 10 at

The Leadership Conference on Aviation and Space Education
(LCASE) will be held Sept. 14 and 15, 2007 in Arlington, Virginia.

Washington to attend the first Leadership Conference on Aviation
and Space Education (LCASE) hosted by the National Coalition for
Aviation Education (NCAE).
