The Pentagon is awaiting results of an Air Force investigation
into the alleged improper transfer of weapons by air from a base in
North Dakota to a Louisiana military installation last week.
The Department of Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO)
announced Wednesday the remains of a US serviceman, missing from
World War II, have been identified and will be returned to his
family for burial with full military honors.
An MH-60 Black Hawk helicopter flying from Fort Eustis, VA to
Fort Campbell, KY was forced to make an emergency landing in a
Sullivan County private residence on the outskirts of Bristol, TN
Wednesday.

EADS Defense and Security announced Monday it successfully
tested the military version of the HELLAS (helicopter laser radar)
obstacle warning system in flight. The equipment known as the
Military Obstacle Warning System (MilOWS) is being developed for
deployment on the NH90 helicopter.
Aero-News learned this week the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons
Division China Lake conducted a successful MK70 drag run at its
Supersonic Naval Ordnance Research Track (SNORT) on August 16.
