"We're dying. We need some help. Otherwise we'll just pack up
and call it a day.... All we're doing is hoping for a
miracle."
Source: Tom Polley, general manager, Ray's Flying
Club. The non-profit organization and its 120 members have been
fighting with Fullerton (CA) Municipal Airport for five years over
fees and safety issues. The airport recently won the battle to
evict Ray's and the court attached both Ray's assets and its
aircraft. Polley has sent the aircraft to an "undisclosed location"
pending appeal, but says without the income those planes generate,
the club is sunk.
