Finds Contamination At KOMA Was An Isolated Incident
The FAA has determined the fuel contamination that has been referenced in recent notices was an event isolated to Eppley Field, Omaha, NE (KOMA) between Nov 16 and 21 and involved as many as 56 military and civilian aircraft.
The NTSB is scheduled to meet Jan. 23, 2018, to determine the probable cause of the Oct. 28, 2016, American Airlines flight 383 uncontained engine failure.
