New System Allows Airlines To Further Improve Efficiency And Passenger Comfort
Turboprop aircraft manufacturer ATR has certified its new Vibration Monitoring System (VMS) which will allow airlines to constantly monitor and fine tune propeller vibration. This innovation, which will be available on all new aircraft from March 2018, improves both aircraft reliability and passenger comfort. It will also be available to retrofit on in service aircraft, via Service Bulletin.

The International Federation of Air Line Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA) strongly supports the decision made by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA-I) to provide financial, logistical and staff support for the recent unionization efforts by pilots at Europe’s Ryanair.
A Southwest Airlines Flight from San Francisco to St. Louis last Wednesday had the distinction of being the first operated by the carrier on its new 737 MAX airliner using an all-female crew. Southwest described the flight as being "Unmanned."
