Seventy-Eight Percent Favor Reforms That Modernize Air Traffic Control System
Status of Air Travel in the United States – Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the leading U.S. airlines, found that nearly half (49%) of respondents said they flew commercially at least once in 2016, up from 45 percent in 2015 and more than double what it was in 1971 (21%). Among 2016 fliers, 69 percent of all trips were taken for personal reasons – unchanged from 2015.
