UAA Joins Piper Flight School Alliance, Orders Three Seminoles

Piper Strengthens Engagement In Flight Training Industry

Piper announced the newest member to join its Flight School Alliance is the United Aviate Academy, a flight training school wholly owned by United Airlines. As part of its new role in the Alliance, UAA signed a purchase agreement for up to three Piper Seminole twin-engine aircraft with the option to add more.

The Flight School Alliance provides members access to a number of benefits including integrated training support, co-branded marketing, and prioritized service. These are all intended to elevate flight training programs and streamline the experience of students as well as the flight school.

Ron Gunnarson, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Quality at Piper Aircraft said, “Welcoming United Aviate Academy to the Piper Flight School Alliance with their first Seminole purchase is a proud moment for Piper Aircraft. UAA represents an exemplary standard of flight training, and Piper looks forward to supporting their operation with the rugged, reliable Seminole.”

UAA is one of the prominent pilot training academies, and provides students enhanced opportunities for pilot careers with United upon successful completion of all Aviate and hiring requirements.

Michael Hales, CEO of United Aviate Academy said, “We are very excited about adding the Piper Seminole to our aircraft fleet. The Seminole is not only a robust airplane with all the bells and whistles but specifically designed for the next generation of pilots learning the intricacies of multi-engine flying. It is the gold-standard of multi-engine flight training at schools around the country, and the world.”

Since its inception in 2022, UAA students have successfully performed with an overall 90% pass rate for FAA check rides. In the past twelve months more than 57,000 flight hours have been logged during 32,000 lessons conducted.
