Air Ambulance Company Angle MedFlight Names New COO

"Rusty" Valko To Oversee Company-Wide Operations

Air medical transportation company Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance has promoted Rastislav "Rusty" Valko (pictured) to Chief Operations Officer. In the COO position, Valko will oversee company-wide operations.

"Rusty is extremely familiar with all aspects of our organization, including the structure, communications, and operations," said Angel MedFlight CEO, president and founder, Jeremy Freer announcing the move Monday. "His management and organizational skills are inspirational to our team. He holds himself to very high standards, and our patients will benefit from his commitment to excellence."

Hired at Angel MedFlight in Feb. 2009 as Information Technology Manager, Valko was quickly promoted to Chief Information Officer. As CIO, he tailored an integrated communications platform that links all departments for maximum efficiency and accessibility. In an industry where real-time information access is imperative, he was integral in customizing the SalesForce.com CRM platform to suit the needs of Angel MedFlight's worldwide medical transportation operations.

Valko holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vt. He spent six years as Web application developer and support specialist with St. Paul, Minn.-based commercial and residential builder, Leading Construction Co. He developed several in-house applications that improved efficiency, saving time and money throughout the construction process. Promoted to Regional Information Technology Manager in 2008, he spearheaded communications development, installation and operations for the opening of the Phoenix office.

Angel MedFlight has seen record growth in the past two years, and was named Arizona's third-fastest- growing private company by the Arizona Corporate Excellence Awards in Sept. 2010.
