Infinite Flight And Sporty’s Enter Collaboration

Online Training Meets Mobile Flight Simulation

Sporty’s announced they have entered a collaboration with Infinite Flight, a portable flight simulation platform for mobile devices. The companies have integrated their flight training programs into a comprehensive experience for new aviation learners.

Sporty’s Learn To Fly Course provides more than 15 hours of high quality 4K videos that cover the usual basic ground school information such as aerodynamics, weather, airplane systems, airport and flight operations, instruments, and more. There are also interactive in-flight video segments so students can see what’s supposed to happen inside the cockpit with the instruments and what it actually looks like outside the windows when performing a maneuver. In addition there are quizzes using a plethora of questions from the FAA written exam to test students and reinforce their understanding of the material.

Infinite Flight is a mobile flight simulator tool with functionality similar to an actual flight sim with various scenario-based simulations of flight training elements and students can initiate a scenario from a range of specific starting points such as engine startup on the ground or in mid-flight. The app connects into any EFB installed on the device such as Garmin Pilot, Foreflight and others the same as a GPS unit installed in the aircraft connects. Flights can use any airport in the world for navigation practice, calculating winds aloft, density altitude and other E6B functions. Real-world instrument procedures are also built in, and Infinite Flight uses the device’s accelerometers and gyroscope features to simulate aircraft motion during level flight, maneuvers, and procedures.

Infinite Flight is available for both iOS and Android devices. There is a free trial with some aircraft and regions to fly in, and the full version with all aircraft and all airports in the world is $9.99 per month or 79.99 per year.

Sporty’s Learn To Fly course is also available for iOS and Android devices for a one-time cost of $299 with lifetime access.
