NATA And Its Members Raise More Than $30,000 For Veterans

Money Raised Through Flag Pins For Veterans Project

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) is pleased to announce the donation of more than $30,000 to veterans’ organizations raised through the 2014 NATA Flag Pins for Veterans Project. Earlier this year, NATA and its members developed the project to expand our support of our Nation’s veterans. Donations from this year’s project will support the Veterans Airlift Command and the Medal of Honor Foundation.

“Since 2011 NATA has supported the Veterans Airlift Command through a raffle and auction at our annual Air Charter Summit. We experienced great success through generous donations of our members and staff by collecting nearly $75,000," said NATA President and CEO Thomas L. Hendricks. "I am very pleased to report that with the addition of the NATA Flag Pins for Veterans Project, we exceeded $100,000 in total support of our veterans and expanded our efforts to include the Medal of Honor Foundation.”

“Nineteen NATA member organizations of all sizes joined NATA staff members to participate in this year’s NATA Flag Pins for Veterans Project. I am extremely proud of all who participated. We could not have succeeded without their tremendous efforts and generosity,” added Hendricks.

NATA’s Flag Pins for Veterans Project is an initiative that begins in May surrounding Memorial Day and continues through Veterans Day. NATA members may participate by displaying flag pins in their operations areas for donations or by making a direct donation to the project fund.
