Longtime Customer Updates Aircraft And FTD Fleet

Frasca International has been awarded a contract by the University of North Dakota (UND) to provide several Flight Training Devices (FTDs) for their aviation program. The multiple unit purchase agreement will include a large number FTDs for the Piper Archer and Seminole aircraft.

The FTDs will be the first to feature the new Garmin G1000 NXI avionics and will be built to FAA Level 5 qualifications. They will also feature Frasca’s TruVision Global visual system, Simplicity Instructor Operator Station, and more. As of the second quarter of this year 4 units (2 Seminole and 2 Archer FTDs) have been ordered with options for additional devices over the next few years. The first FTD, a Piper Seminole has been installed and three additional devices will be delivered in July of this year.

Frasca was chosen unanimously by UNDs selection committee in a competitive bid process. The school currently uses several Frasca devices in their aerospace program at their Grand Forks, North Dakota and satellite campuses.

“The University of North Dakota has been using Frasca flight training devices for over 39 years. Our 17 flight training devices help us to provide the highest level of professional aviation education to our students. Frasca’s commitment to keeping up with technology and their excellent customer service makes them an easy choice, stated Don Dubuque, UND Aerospace.”

“It is a very significant achievement to be selected as the simulator supplier to UND, one of the premiere collegiate aviation programs in the world.” stated John Frasca, President, Frasca International, Inc. “Our partnership with them just keeps getting stronger over the years. We will continue to work hard to provide them with the best simulators available to enhance their flight training curriculum.”
