ANA Adds 787 Simulator to Their Fleet

State of the Art Training for Next-Gen Pilots

Acron Aviation and All Nippon Airways (ANA) have signed a new agreement to deliver yet another Boeing 787 Full Flight Simulator. Creating operational growth for the airline and a commitment to cutting edge pilot training. For the new and current 787 pilots, this is a great investment in training quality, safety and accessibility.

For pilots, quality sim training is crucial. It’s where skills are refined, procedures are drilled and you are able to test your limits and decision making under pressure. The new simulator was designed to replicate the 787 Dreamliner flight deck with incredible accuracy. From engine start and emergency procedures to every switch, screen, sound and movement that you’d experience in the air. When a pilot trains in the sim, it feels as close to the real thing as you can get. Training in a more realistic environment creates effective muscle memory, situational awareness and training that will translate directly into the flight deck where pilots need it the most.

With ANA’s widebody operations continuing to grow, an additional simulator will streamline training much more efficiently. More resources, more scheduling availability, and less waiting time for the pilots upgrading, transitioning, or even just for recurrent training.

For new pilots coming in and flying a widebody aircraft for the first time, having access to state of the art equipment like this can definitely help ease the learning curve. Those that are experienced, it could help increase their skills, keep them sharp and even just give them a confidence boost. Alan Crawford, Chief Executive Officer, Acron Aviation. “We are delighted to secure our first Full Flight Simulator as Acron Aviation with ANA, a world-leading airline. It plays into our company vision to become the top-tier partner of choice for airlines and builds on our long-term collaboration with ANA that dates back to the 1980s.”
