NBAA-BACE to Feature Extraordinary Aircraft Displays

Machines at the Confluence of Hollywood and Las Vegas

Organizers are about the business of finalizing plans pertaining to those aircraft to be displayed during 2023’s NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).

The much-anticipated event, which will again be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, will see aircraft on static display at Henderson Executive Airport (HND) and within the cavernous Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). Attendees will be afforded opportunities to view and compare the global aerospace industry’s latest offerings, to include aircraft models new to the show.

NBAA senior director of aircraft displays Joe Hart stated: “This year’s convention has something special at both the indoor and outdoor displays, including aircraft making their first appearances at NBAA-BACE.”

2023’s NBAA-BACE aircraft lineup includes the convention debuts of Airbus’s ACJ-Two-Twenty, a business-jet derivation of the Consortium’s popular A220 narrow-body airliner; and Textron Aviation’s Beechcraft Model 220 Denali single-engine turboprop. Inside the LVCC, attendees will enjoy up-close looks at Daher’s TBM960 turboprop, along with Robinson’s R-66 and Sikorsky’s S-76 helicopters.

The exhibit floor displays will include, also, the Aero L-39 Cinejet, a high-performance jet trainer designed and produced in Czechoslovakia by Aero Vodochody; Embraer’s Phenom 300 Camera Jet, the only FAA certified civilian jet retrofitted with gyro-stabilized camera system; and Airbus’s H125 Camera Helicopter—both of which were instrumental in the principal filming of the 2022 blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick. Kevin LaRosa II—the motion-picture stunt and aerial coordinator behind the film’s flight scenes and a keynote speaker at 2022’s NBAA-BACE—has facilitated the aforementioned aircrafts’ presence at 2023’s event, and will be on hand to discuss the use of such by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski.

Mr. LaRosa remarked: “Flying these aircraft on Top Gun: Maverick was the thrill of a lifetime, and I look forward to sharing this exclusive insight with the attendees of NBAA-BACE.”

Mr. Hart noted several additional OEM announcements are expected throughout the convention. Debuting at NBAA-BACE’s 2023 outdoor aircraft display will be a dedicated, raised viewing platform offering impressive views of the showcased aircraft.

Spanning 17-19 October, NBAA-BACE is the largest international showcase of business aviation’s brightest, best, and newest aircraft and technologies.

Founded in 1947 for purpose of fostering an environment conducive to business aviation’s success both in the United States and around the world, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) is a Washington D.C.-based non-profit organization representing upwards of ten-thousand company and individual members.
