Company Aims To Build Private Space Station by 2015

The second experimental pathfinder spacecraft by Bigelow Aerospace, Genesis II, has been successfully launched and inserted into orbit. The privately-funded space station module was launched on a Dnepr rocket Thursday morning from the ISC Kosmotras Yasny Cosmodrome in the Orenburg region of Russia.

Talk about a team effort. Eurocopter recently worked with the airworthiness authorities EASA, the FAA and Canada's TCCA to earn the first certification providing the EC145 with an Night-Vision Goggle (NVG) aided operation capability. Eurocopter is the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to offer this capability to civil operators.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is requesting the Federal Aviation Administration to grant it more power to reduce the congestion of their airspace. The agency believes the best way to stem the tide of massive traffic congestion in the region's airspace is to increase the number of large aircraft and decrease the number of small ones and it wants the authority to make that happen.
