Diamonds Getting Dearer: Planemaker Announces 2007 Pricing

Orders Before February 26 Beat The Price Increase

Aero-News has learned starting February 26 of this year, it'll cost you a bit more to buy a Diamond piston-engined aircraft.

On that date, the base and option pricing of a new DA20-C1 Eclipse will increase by 10 percent, and prices on fixed-prop and XL models of the four-seat DA40 will rise by three percent.

The DA42 Twin Star base price will increase to $527,313 in US dollars, with minor options price increases as well.

That was the bad news. The good news is current 2006 pricing will remain in effect for orders received before February 26, 2007... so if you've had your eye on a Diamond, now's the time to call the dealer!

Diamond Aircraft offers a lineup of fuel-efficient, composite-bodied general aviation piston aircraft, ranging from the two-seat DA20-C1 trainer, through the four-seat DA40 lineup, to the novel Thielert diesel-powered DA42 twin-engine aircraft. Diamond planes have flown well over 2 million flight hours, and the company has operated in the US for over a decade.
