A Drone In The Hand Injures Enrique Iglesias

Singer Tried To Pluck UAV Out Of The Air During A Concert

A UAV being used to get video of an Enrique Iglesias concert Saturday in Tijuana, Mexico injured the singer when he grabbed it out of the air to turn it around to see the audience.

But on Saturday night, the singer injured his hand while plucking the aircraft out of the air.

USA Today reports that Iglesias' spokesman Joseph Carozza issued a statement saying that "During the show a drone is used to get crowd shots and some nights Enrique grabs the drone to give the audience a Point of View shot. Something went wrong and he had an accident. He decided to go on and continued playing for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show."

Photos and video taken during the concert show the singer with a bandaged, bloodied hand.

Carozza said that after the show, Iglesias was rushed to the airport and flown to Los Angeles for treatment of the injury by a specialist. He is said to be recovering.
