Piper Makes SnF Seminole Sale to Puerto Rican University

Multi-Engine Trainer Inbound to Territory for 1st Time in 2 Decades

Piper Aircraft has made a rare announcement, publicizing the recent sale of their Seminole twin trainer to the Inter American University of Puerto Rico.

The occasion marks the first new Seminole to be sold to the territory in more than 20 years. The order was received during the Sun 'n Fun Aerospace Expo 2022, a great time for school staff to go shopping in the springtime sunshine  in the warm April weather. The Seminole will be delivered in the first quarter of 2023, which will join a Piper fleet of 8 archers, an Arrow, and a sister Seminole.

The aircraft will serve the Airway Science Programs at the school, operating out of the Bayamón Campus for students working on their professional pilot career. Students from the Aircraft Systems Management and Aviation Sciences majors will quickly love to learn the docile, tractable Seminole as they work on their multi-engine rating.

“We are extremely excited to work with the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and support their flight program with advanced training equipment," said Dan Lewis, Manager, Regional Sales for Latin America. "The pilot training curriculum offered by Inter American University of Puerto Rico combined with the Garmin G1000 NXi equipped Piper Seminole will further strengthen their stellar reputation for providing well-trained pilots who are prepared for the demands of the aviation industry. We look forward to delivering their new Seminole next year."
