Takes Helicopter Transport Services (Canada) As Strategic
Partner
At the Helicopter Association of Canada Annual Convention and
Trade Show 2011, Night Flight Concepts (NFC), said it plans to
expand operations into Canada, timed with the unveiling of a new
strategic partnership with Helicopter Transport Services (Canada)
Inc. Working together, HTSC and NFC will offer organizations in
Canada and abroad exceptional, comprehensive and compliant NVG
solutions to improve safety, reduce cost and increase
performance.
“Our new partnership with HTSC creates a strategic
capability in Canada to help fuel NVG solution adoption by
extending local NVG support available throughout the product
lifecycle, including product sales, equipment support, consulting,
training and maintenance,” said Night Flight Concepts,
President Adam Aldous.
NFC sasy NVGs are increasingly transforming night operations for
the better. Operators that have received exemptions to fly with
night-vision technology in Canada confirm they are experiencing
significant advantages including: higher safety standards,
operational benefits and added value to the bottom line. In
addition, the NVG regulatory landscape in Canada is also taking
shape. Transport Canada (TC) has taken a leadership role in
developing a regulatory oversight program that draws on lessons
learned from other regulatory agencies throughout the globe and
responds to concerns from operators to ensure that NVG
implementation into commercial aviation is safe and permissible in
Canada. As HTSC President, Luc Pilon explains: “This is an
important time in Canada. The Canadian NVG market is poised for
explosive growth. HTSC extends the NFC partner network to help
support this growth.”
In recent years, NFC says it has helped numerous government and
industry organizations across Canada plan, implement and maintain
night vision goggle (NVG) capabilities to support night vision
imaging system (NVIS) programs, including the RCMP, York Regional
Police, Cougar and Helicopter Transport Services.
HTSC and NFC will co-locate in Carp, Ontario at the HTSC
corporate headquarters facility in the national capital region.
Services offered will include:
- Pilot and Instructor NVG training
- NVG maintenance training
- NVG 180-inspection and repair services
- NVG aircraft lighting modification
- NVG equipment acquisition solutions
- NVG program management consulting
