Level B FSS and Level III FTD Approval Granted In Scotland
Bristow Academy in Aberdeen, Scotland has received dual
qualification for their Frasca-built S92 Full Flight Simulator
(FFS), according to Frasca International of Urbana, IL. The S92 FFS
is the first certified helicopter device under JAA with both Level
B FFS and Level III FTD approval.

L-3 Avionics Systems announced Friday it has received Technical
Standard Order (TSO) approval from the FAA for the Trilogy ESI-1000
Electronic Standby Instrument on Part 27 and Part 29 rotary-wing
aircraft.
Reports 21 Percent Passenger Growth Last Year Over 2008

The head of Boeing's Commercial Airline Division says the U.S.
plane-maker will overtake rival Airbus to be the world's largest

The Pentagon has no plans to restore funding for Boeing's
airborne laser program, despite a successful test of the system
February 11th. Defense Secretary Robert Gates had slashed the
program from seven planes to one, cutting $8.2 billion from the
