AeroJones Succeeds With University Students

Students Get a First Sample of Flying in CTLS Light Aircraft

AeroJones Aviation Technology builds the CTLS in Xiamen, China. Yet the company recognizes that simply to manufacture a great aircraft is not enough. You must also introduce citizens to these new flying machines.

In January 2020 - before the Lunar New Year and the subsequent outbreak of Coronavirus - AeroJones Aviation personnel hosted two university groups on an educational mission. Out of respect to those affected the virus, AeroJones delayed this news but as those fears begin to fade, the time is right for a more hopeful message.

Students from Chaoyang University are pursing training in aircraft maintenance. Professors and students realize the value in understanding aircraft more intimately and what better way to learn more than to go for a "Discovery Flight?" A Discovery Flight provides about 15 minutes of flying time with a qualified instructor. This allows a student to more fully grasp both the detail of aircraft operation.

Some of the Chaoyang students may continue to become airline, corporate, military, or recreational pilots, but others will stay in maintenance or other aviation service occupations that are equally valuable to the future of air transportation. Having some flight time logged is a sure way to help them do their jobs with more passion and precision.

Chouyang students spent a second day at Pingtong learning about the very advanced aircraft engine of CTLS. The Rotax 912 powerplant is manufacturer in Austria and is, by far, the best selling aircraft engine in light aviation. The European company is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Another group arrived from National Formosa University with students split evenly from Taiwan and from other countries in the region.

Discovery flights were delivered to all students and professors from both educational institutions by two AeroJones flight instructors using two CTLS Light-Sport Aircraft operating flights from the company's Pingtong airfield operation, located in the south of Taiwan.

In 2020, AeroJones will add a new aircraft factory in China. The brand-new facility will be near the Dalu General Airport close to Zhenjiang.
