CAE, Lider Aviacao Launch Sikorsky S-76 Training In Sao Paulo

New Sim Installed At CAE Facility Near Brazil's Congonhas Downtown Airport

CAE and Brazilian helicopter operator Lider Aviacao are now offering S-76 Sikorsky aircraft training at CAE's Sao Paulo training center near Congonhas downtown airport.

The S-76 training program is an extension of the joint venture between CAE and Lider, and will support flight training for all of Lider's S-76 pilots. Training will also be provided to other helicopter operators, including operators serving the growing demand for transportation in the offshore oil and gas fields of Brazil.

"This new simulator-based training program is part of our continuing investment in safety," said Junia Hermont, Lider Aviacao superintendent. "Our pilots are now able to train in a mission-oriented environment, including emergency situation simulations, and training is domestic without the need to travel abroad."

"We are proud to be Lider's training partner in supporting the safety needs of such a vibrant helicopter market" said Nick Leontidis, CAE Group President, Civil Simulation and Training. "Our joint venture with Lider provides mission critical training using the most advanced simulation technology available for civil helicopters."

The CAE 3000 Series Level D full-flight simulator (FFS) provides both initial and recurrent training for all S-76 variants Training programs include a turnkey 'wet' solution with simulator training delivered by qualified instructors as well as advanced classroom training and brief-debrief capabilities. The first class is scheduled for December 8th. Alternately, operator-led 'dry' training is also available immediately.
