Garmin has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against uAvionix, saying the smaller company has taken its ADS-B technology without its permission. Magellan Aerospace has entered into a six year agreement with Pratt & Whitney to manufacture aluminum castings for their Next Generation Product Family ("NGPF") of engines, powering the Airbus A320neo, Airbus A220 (formerly known as Bombardier C-Series), Embraer E2 series and Mitsubishi MRJ aircraft. The castings will be produced at Magellan's facilities in Haley, Ontario, Canada and Glendale, AZ. NTSB Releases Preliminary Report From Alaska Accident August 4

National Park Service Will Not Attempt Recovery Of The Aircraft

The NTSB has released its preliminary report from an accident which occurred on August 4 in which a single-engine, de Havilland DHC-2 (Beaver) airplane, N323KT, sustained substantial damage during an impact with steep, high altitude, snow-covered terrain about 50 miles northwest of Talkeetna, Alaska, in Denali National Park and Preserve. The airplane was registered to Rust Properties, LLC and operated by Rust's Flying Service Inc, doing business as K2 Aviation as a visual flight rules on-demand commercial air tour flight. The commercial pilot and four passengers sustained fatal injuries.
