Piper's news owner is Imprimis... a company that assures ANN that it "fully supports the PiperJet development" program. Piper will stay in Vero Beach and is "committed to keeping Piper's headquarters, production and product development facilities in Vero Beach, Fla."

Running into LoPresti's RJ Siegel is always an interesting event... but even more so when he starts expounding on a number of the topics he feels passionate about... and aerodynamic efficiency (a much favored topic around the LoPresti ranch) is certainly one of those he enjoys. Mind you, he comes from a pretty intriguing background... having served on the original Mac team at Apple Computer and been a major proponent of the LoPresti Fury program. So... efficiency... that's something that RJ, LoPresti’s VP of Operations, knows.

Coronal Mass Ejection A huge cloud of hot plasma, expelled sometimes from the Sun. It may accelerate ions and electrons, and may travel through interplanetary space as far as the Earth's orbit and beyond it, often preceded by a shock front. When the shock reaches Earth, a magnetic storm may result.

Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) A space mission, proposed by Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in San Antonio, to study the interstellar boundary - the region between our solar system and interstellar space. The Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) was one of five candidates selected by NASA in November 2003 to compete for two mission slots in NASA's Explorer Program of low cost, rapidly developed scientific spacecraft. IBEX was launched by a Pegasus LV from Kwajalein Missile Range on October 19, 2008.
