Two Fatally Injured During Movie Filming

Pilot And Photographer Were Shooting A 'Zombie Movie' When The Accident Occurred

A pilot and a photographer were fatally injured Sunday during the filming of what was described as a "low-budget zombie movie" in Florida.

The accident occurred at Monroe Air Park in Summerfield, FL just after 1900 EDT, according to authorities. The Orlando Sentinel reports that, according to Monroe County authorities, there was a movie crew on South East 140th street working on the film. The scene being filmed involved the airplane.

The photographer was filming the pilot during the flight when the accident occurred. The paper reports that witnesses said the engine stalled, though it is not clear whether there was an engine malfunction or it was an aerodynamic stall. The plane impacted terrain in a nose-low attitude, according to witnesses.

The names of those on board the airplane have not been released.
