Gulfstream Delivers 1st G800

Newest Model Makes its Way into Customer Hands

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation announced its first customer delivery of the all-new Gulfstream G800, “the world’s longest range business aircraft.”

The G800 capped off its certification process back in April, making it the latest and greatest in the world of private jets. The G800 picked up some recognition already, netting the 2025 International Yacht & Aviation Award for Private Jet Design. Its biggest point of pride is the “industry’s lowest cabin altitude of 2,840 feet” at a 41,000 ft cruise. It even has the newer “plasma ionization air purification system” that became something to have in the COVID days, as well as a 100% fresh air system inside. It’s somewhat telling how far the Gulfstream series has come, when the biggest, most exciting features become so mundane: The G800 is darn quick, and has some very long legs, almost to the point that clients can basically go anywhere without too much worry.

The G800 can pull off long-range cruise speeds of Mach 0.85 and still enjoy 8,200 nm of endurance. Push it up a little quicker and pilots can enjoy a high-speed Mach 0.90 cruise. Go all the way to the stops and the G800 will reward you with Mach 0.935. For the people in back, that performance equates to a quicker gate time at their destination, but they will probably be just as taken up with the spaciousness before then. Gulfstream’s new interior design has more panoramic windows throughout the cabin, which can be split into 4 living areas with a dedicated crew compartment, avoiding awkward small talk with the road-worn crew.

“We have seen astounding demand for the G800, and the entire Gulfstream team is excited to begin making deliveries to our customers,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “The G800 is entering service with extraordinary program maturity, just like the Gulfstream G700 before it. We look forward to customers around the world experiencing the aircraft’s remarkable capabilities and cabin comfort, and I congratulate Gulfstream’s Appleton team — and the more than 21,000 Gulfstream employees worldwide — for this significant accomplishment in delivering another quality product from our next-generation family of aircraft.”
