Taylor Swift Sells Off One Jet

Famous Celebrity Moving Up to a 10X, or Hunkering Down From Stalkers?

Internationally famed pop star Taylor Swift was noted to be selling off her Dassault Falcon 900LX to the tune of $40 million, igniting speculation that the singer is turning to private charters in a bid to beef up her privacy. She has not weighed in to correct the matter, leading to plenty of conjecture. Her public profile has grown beyond her pop-country bonafides in the wake of a running relationship with a Super Bowl-bound NFL player Travis Kelce has put Swift on the radar of many, particularly the hall monitors of carbon emissions.

US Army Guillotines Scout Helo Program

Ukraine War Shows Little Room for Delicate Manned Aircraft in Close-Range ISR Roles

The US Army has announced the elimination of Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft, putting to rest a light scout helicopter that was hoped to replace Bell's OH-58 Kiowa. The OH-6 has officially outlasted just about every one of its challengers, despite decades of prospective replacement from 'big Army'. The Kiowa entered service as a light, agile, single-engine helo in Army service, a sibling to the Bell JetRanger 206A. Successive enhancements to the type kept the Kiowa in service through most of GWOT, only being retired from service entirely after years of mothballing and selective retirement for older, more tired airframes.

Warrant Officers Back in Fashion

Old-School Solution to New-School Problems

The US Air Force is mulling over a return to the Warrant Officer program, which would provide a niche technician class that slots in between the enlisted and officer ranks. The planning order describing a return of the Warrant Officer role included it among "new ways to develop and retain a "highly capable, technologically capable corps of air-minded warfighters". The document stems from the Air University, and was released as unclassified in the last week of January. It began making the rounds when those with the sense to understand the culture shift began passing it around. Currently, everything is theoretical, and far from set into motion. Aviators will not be drawn from the Warrant Officer cadre,
