Pathways Pavilion Offers 'One-Stop-Shop' Regardless Of Background
Visitors to AirVenture Oshkosh this year will find a refreshed EAA presence in the center of the grounds. EAA refers to the area as the Four Corners, and it includes the Welcome Center, the merchandise and insurance center, the One Week Wonder Zenith building project, and the new Pathways Pavilion concept. All of the areas have had thought and energy put into them, but the Pathways Pavilion is the most exciting from an EAA chapters standpoint.

The Pathways Pavilion is a one-stop shop for ways to engage in aviation no matter what your background might be. It’s intended to provide information and camaraderie about the EAA chapter network, the Young Eagles program, and the Eagle Flights program. The information available in the Pathways Pavilion will help you visitors understand how to participate in any of these programs - either as a volunteer sharing knowledge or as a participant learning more.
In addition to EAA’s programs that allow all members to participate, we will also feature information about our youth offerings. The EAA Flight Plan, our series of follow-on opportunities to the Young Eagles program, is very robust. Many people are surprised to learn about all of the incredible benefits available to our youth members at absolutely no cost to them. Air Academy is another popular experience for youth and has a huge support base from our chapters.
Finally, the most obvious part of the Pathways Pavilion when you see it will be the Learn to Fly section, featuring three different Redbird flight simulators. The Learn to Fly section will obviously be a great resource for people interested in learning about flying, but don’t discount it if you are already a pilot! It is also intended to be a great resource for learning more about getting additional ratings and staying current.
In the end, the Pathways Pavilion has a lot to offer anyone interested in aviation. We encourage you to stop by if you are at AirVenture Oshkosh! Even better, if you want to share some of your knowledge about any of these topics, contact the chapter office to volunteer.
