Aerospace Education Program Moves To New Headquarters At Bowman Field

Program Focuses On Students In Grades 9-12

Air+Space Academy is establishing the national headquarters for the program in the Hangar 7 complex at historic Bowman Field. The program, designed for students in grades 9-12, was first established in 2010 by educator Dr. Tim Smith as the Kentucky Institute for Aerospace Education and based out of Frankfort. Over the next 5 years, the program grew and expanded to include more than 30 schools in Kentucky and Tennessee.
