Electric Aircraft Coming To Utah

Historic Agreement Initiates Utah’s Air Transportation System

Beta Technologies and 47G | Utah Aerospace & Defense organization will sign an historic agreement that is intended to begin establishing Utah’s air transportation system by building out a logistics network to bring electric aircraft and charging stations to the state.

The partnership represents a major step forward in preparing a well-functioning statewide air cargo and transportation system in advance of the 2034 Winter Olympic Games.

Letters of support for the agreement will be forthcoming from the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) and the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO). The Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA) will continue to support Project Alta in building a logistics network.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will take place during the annul Utah Aerospace & Defense Day on the Hill, hosted by 47G. The event features more than 50 exhibitors in Utah’s aerospace and defense industry showcasing leading-edge technologies including virtual electric flight experiences, AI intelligence breakthroughs, 3D printing, delivery drones, advanced robotics, space exploration materials, and more.
