9 Jumps at 90 to Fund Skydiving Museum

Ten years ago, history maker Pat Moorehead completed a record 81 jumps on his 80th birthday to raise funds for the International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame (ISMHF), bringing in $20,000 with his efforts. Now, for his 90th birthday, he will jump again. For that 2011 attempt, Pat had the support of 50 riggers, cameramen, a pilot, and medical personnel on standby. A constant stream of parachute packing and aircraft prep took place over the course of 6 ½ hours, until he made his 81st jump with a celebratory American flag. Observers were impressed at his stamina throughout the day.

Just After The Airplane Became Airborne, The Airplane Rolled Inverted And Impacted The Runway

On September 18, 2021, about 1845 eastern daylight time, a Rans S-20 airplane, N6915G, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Wadsworth, Ohio. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The Wadsworth Municipal (3G3) airport surveillance camera captured the accident sequence on video. AD 2021-19-17 Prompted By An Incident Of A Side Facing Utility Seat Detaching From Wall Attachments

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (Sikorsky) Model S-92A helicopters. This AD was prompted by an incident of a side facing utility seat detaching from wall attachment points. This AD requires modifying certain side facing utility seats and observer seats, and prohibits installing those seats unless the modification has been accomplished. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. This AD is effective November 22, 2021.

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Pacific Aerospace Limited Model 750XL airplanes. This AD was prompted by mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) originated by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product.
