International Launch Services (ILS) and Eutelsat, a provider of satellite telecommunications, announced a contract Monday for the launch of the W7 satellite on an ILS Proton. The W7 satellite was built by Thales Alenia Space and is currently in preparation for delivery to the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

Brazil and France announced Monday that the two countries will extend their military relationship with Brazil's purchase of 36 Rafale fighter jets, and  the technology to build its own.
